Modern Architecture Talk at Palm Springs Library

The Palm Springs Public Library will host an event featuring Jade Thomas Nelson on Wednesday, October 23, at 6 p.m. The presentation, titled "Via Lola: The Most Famous Street in Palm Springs," is organized in partnership with the PS Modern Committee.
The event will provide an audiovisual history of modern architecture, showcasing works by well-known architects such as Wexler, Kaptur, Jones and Emmons, Elrod, Rognstad, and Clark/Frey. It will also highlight notable figures, including celebrities like Kirk and Ann Douglas, Henry Kissinger, Jack Warner, and various local personalities, along with the famous Don the Beachcomber.
The discussion will cover a timeline from the 1920s to the present, focusing on Modernism. Attendance is free, but seating will be limited and available on a first-come, first-seated basis. Once seating is full, additional guests will not be admitted.
