**911 System Outage in Palm Springs**
The Palm Springs Police Department has announced that the 911 system is currently down, affecting not just Palm Springs but the surrounding region as well.
Residents are advised to text 911 or call 760-323-8116 and press option 1 to reach the dispatch center in case of an emergency. Additionally, individuals can visit any City of Palm Springs government building for assistance in contacting dispatch.
The police department will provide updates on the status of the system as soon as it is restored.
