On the evening of the Trunk and Treat event, over 450 students and families attended in Palm Springs. The event, designed for students with special needs, featured games, activities, and plenty of candy. It was organized by the Riverside County SELPA along with three valley school districts.

Community partners, staff, and parents decorated vehicles and handed out candy during the event. Board of Education President Madonna Gerrell and Superintendent Dr. Tony Signoret were also present to join in the celebrations.

Suspect Arrested After Burglary, Fence Climb, Pool Tour

Palm Springs police said officers arrested a suspect who allegedly broke into a residence, assaulted the homeowner, and then ran through multiple backyards and fences. A drone unit helped locate the suspect, who later surrendered to a K9 officer and was booked into county jail.
