**College of the Desert Warns Against Phishing Emails**

Palm Desert, CA - The College of the Desert has issued a warning to its community regarding the risks of phishing emails. The college advises individuals to be cautious of emails received from Gmail accounts, unfamiliar domains, or any email addresses that do not end with collegeofthedesert.edu or mycod.us.

It is important to note that email addresses can be faked, making it difficult to identify legitimate communications from the college. The institution urges individuals not to click on links or download attachments from suspicious emails, as these can contain harmful software or attempts to steal personal information.

If there is any uncertainty, the college encourages individuals to forward any suspicious emails to their cybersecurity team for review at cybersecurity@collegeofthedesert.edu.

The College of the Desert reminds everyone to stay safe while interacting online.
